Friends of the Pasadena Playhouse 
Membership Categories 

Active Membership   -   $25.00
Active Members are required to volunteer at least 25 hours each calendar year.  Active  members receive the  Offstage, our bimonthly newsletter, special opportunities and invitations to dress rehearsals of the Pasadena Playhouse productions.

 Supporting Membership   -  $50.00
Members are not required to volunteer a certain number of hours to maintain the membership.  Supporting  members receive the  Offstage,  our bimonthly newsletter,
and invitations to dress rehearsals of the Pasadena Playhouse productions. 

Annual   membership is renewed   by January   1st.   ​

We have a special program for students who work towards their community service/ course requirements.   Our current   opportunity for students is limited to ushering.    ​Membership dues for students are waived.​​

​Volunteer Opportunities​​

Ushers

  • Welcome patrons to the Pasadena Playhouse.
  • Provide theatre programs and directions.
  • Assist with seating.
  • Provide support to the  House Manager. 
  • Loan assistive hearing systems.

Hospitality Volunteers

  • ​Provide  meals and refreshments for actors and a production crew between shows on Saturday.
  • Help  with hosting receptions and special events.

Office and Event Volunteers

  • Help with patron mailings, theatre programs, and special projects.
  • Assist with the Playhouse and  volunteer events.
  • Assist with patron mailings at the Boston Court.

Tour Docents and Companions

  • Guide visitors during the tours.
  • Learn about the past, present and future of the theatre.

​Archive Volunteers 

  • Assists with  organization  of the archival collection and the Playhouse library.
  • Help to built a digital archive. 
  • Learn about the historical, architectural, and artistic background of our national landmark theatre.

Merchandise Cart

  • Sell gifts and souvenirs on the Playhouse patio during each show  and at other events.
